Renovations + Additions
These clients approached us with a complete design package, ready for us to start building. As a health practice, attention was essential for all services to be usable but not seen and easy to clean. The finish was also paramount, especially in the waiting room where people have time to inspect closely.
Solar passive properties and care for the environment during construction were also very important to these clients. We guided them carefully to spend their money in areas where there was benefit, rather than being lost in the hype of sustainability. For example, all northern facing windows are single glass rather than double glazed, to allow the sun to enter during winter and warm the building.
In 2015, this extension won the South West HIA Award in its price category as well as the overall extension award, where it was named the winner over a much more expensive project.
