Rubica Place

Rubica Place was a very personal build for Green Construct as it was for the director Cy and his family.

Innovative Design

Using reverse brick veneer and with the rear of the home facing north, the correct positioning of windows and overhangs to allow sunlight in winter and shade in summer was paramount to the effective climate control of the home. Designed by local Busselton house designer Steve Creek of Harmonic Design, the end result focused on the thermal efficiency of the home as well as its visual appeal.

Material Pallette

The exterior of the house used a combination of Linea cladding as well as random quarry faced limestone to the front facade and the rear alfresco. The limestone was also used inside, around the kitchen island bench, as well as the fireplace to create a flow from inside to out.

The use of Marri flooring and benchtops throughout also kept a sense of flow throughout the home.

Situated in the Country Club Estate, Dunsborough, the house sits as proud and at home here as it would nestled among trees on acreage.
